On 01.06.2022, BINA Business Incubator conducted a Pitching Event No:1 under the project of Sustainable Jobs Creation through Business Start-up Incubation for Syrian refugees and vulnerable host community in Turkey.

Entrepreneurs pitched their projects in front of the 4 jury members from Syria, Libya, and Iraq. This event – Pitching Event No:1 – comes with the scope of the Incubation program of 30 start-ups from different cities in Turkey, selected from 60 start-ups that received 120 hours of intensive training in entrepreneurship and essential business skills.

30 startups had projects in different sectors like technology, transportation, food and agriculture.12 out of 30 Startups joined the event and pitched their projects in the morning session online. The event continued in the afternoon with the pitching of the SMEs located in Istanbul, and 9 Entrepreneurs traveling to Istanbul from different cities of Turkey such as Konya, Gaziantep, Mersin, and Hatay to pitch physically at BINA Business Incubator Center.

At the end of the pitching event, the best 3 SMEs received prizes of 3 thousand Turkish liras. In addition, SMEs will continue receiving technical assistance through incubation, mentoring, coaching, events and bootcamps. At the end of the NAMA III Competition, the best 3 SMEs will receive prizes as follows:

1st winner will receive 27.000 ₺, 2nd winner will receive 20.000₺, 3rd winner will receive 14.000₺. In addition, SMEs will present their final projects in front of angel investors and international businessmen.

NAMA III Entrepreneurship competition is one of the BINA Business Incubator initiatives in supporting entrepreneurs in the region, with the support of SPARK and the Qatar Fund for Development.
